Ink & Amber works that way — the navy is deep enough to read almost black in low light, the cream sits somewhere between raw linen and bone, and the caramel-to-amber tortoiseshell panels have the particular warmth of something aged rather than manufactured. Laid together across a short square set, the palette reads like the inside of a well-worn study: books, lacquer, winter afternoon light. The silver foil glitter that dusts several nails doesn't interrupt that warmth — it catches the light the way a wet cobblestone does, briefly and without drama.
Each set includes 10 hand-sculpted short square-shaped nails in a full left (L) and right (R) hand arrangement. The square shape is short with softened corners — wide enough to carry the detail work without crowding it, practical enough for daily wear. The color composition moves across the set: deep midnight navy with ink-wash swirl detailing, flat opaque black with a gloss finish, sheer cream as a quiet counterpoint, a caramel-to-amber gradient with silver foil dusting, and a navy-to-black blend with fluid inky brushwork. The 3D caramel porcelain flower appears on the accent nails of each hand, its petal color echoing the tortoiseshell tones directly beneath it.
The ink wash detailing is painted freehand in gel — the swirling fluid lines are drawn wet-on-wet before curing, which is the technique that gives them their soft, blurred edges rather than sharp graphic lines. The tortoiseshell panels are built by flooding warm amber, cool brown, and near-black in overlapping passes, then lightly marbled before the final cure locks the movement in place. The silver foil glitter is pressed into a tacky gel layer mid-build so it sits inside the nail structure rather than on top of it, which prevents edge wear. The porcelain flowers are formed petal by petal and attached at the final stage, then individually sealed with top coat.
To apply: lightly buff the natural nail, choose your size from the included range, and press on with the adhesive tabs included or nail glue (sold separately). Hold for 30 seconds. Tabs give 5–7 days of clean wear; glue extends to 2–3 weeks. To remove, soak in warm water or work cuticle oil along the side edge — the ink details, foil, and floral appliqués are all fully sealed and release intact for reuse.

How to choose your size:
- Printed measuring tool: For accurate sizing, simply print our template to measure your nail beds.
- Alternative measuring method: Use a piece of paper or tape to mark the edges of your nail bed.
Lay it flat and measure the distance using your phone’s digital ruler or a regular ruler.
Estimated size recommendations:
- XS: Suitable for petite hands and teens.
- S: Fits most women (60% of our customers fall under this size range)
- M: Recommended for larger hands or flatter nail beds. (Also a very common size)

To check if a nail set fits, press the nail firmly against your nail bed. If the nail matches the width of your cuticle, it's the right size. It's normal for some natural nail to show on the sides, especially if you have fan- or triangle-shaped nails. If this bothers you, choose a larger size and file the cuticle area to better fit your nail shape.

- Sticky tabs: Soak your hands in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes, then gently remove the nails using a wooden pick tool.
- Semi-solid glue / Quick Set Glue: Use the included remover and follow our removal instructions.
- UV stickies / UV glue: Use our solid glue remover spray. If you’re out of remover, use olive oil with the soaking method. Never forcibly rip off your nails.
