There is a category of natural object that is both armor and ornament — the beetle's shell, the inside of an abalone, the surface of a geode split open. Lepidoptera was designed in that space, taking its name from the scientific order that contains every butterfly and moth that has ever existed. The color shifts between mauve, dusty rose, and a cold silvery lavender depending on the light, underpinned by a dense holographic shimmer that reads almost metallic at certain angles. The rose gold line work dividing each nail into sections references insect wing anatomy without being literal about it — it is structural, not decorative.
This set of 10 handmade press-on nails comes in a matched left-and-right hand pairing in a medium-length almond shape. Every nail in the set carries the same design — the variation comes from the color shift, which behaves differently across the curve of each nail and changes noticeably under different lighting conditions. Small white micro-pearl dots are scattered asymmetrically across each nail, sitting just above the surface of the top coat. The rose gold line work traces a segmented form across each nail: a central spine with two arcing lines on either side, outlined at the nail's edge — the wing, mapped onto the hand.
The base is built using a layered cat-eye gel technique — a magnetic pigment pulled into directional alignment during curing, which creates the depth and color shift that makes the surface appear to move. The holographic shimmer is a separate layer applied over the cat-eye base before the line work is added, giving the nail its dual texture: deep and directional underneath, bright and scattered on the surface. The rose gold lines are drawn by hand using a fine liner brush. The pearl dots are placed individually before the final seal coat is applied.
To apply, prep your natural nails by buffing lightly and wiping clean with a prep solution. Match each nail by size before applying adhesive — a fit that sits flush at the sidewalls will give you the cleanest wear. To reuse, remove gently with warm water or cuticle oil, clean the backs, and return to the original box.

How to choose your size:

To check if a nail set fits, press the nail firmly against your nail bed. If the nail matches the width of your cuticle, it's the right size. It's normal for some natural nail to show on the sides, especially if you have fan- or triangle-shaped nails. - Sticky tabs: Soak your hands in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes, then gently remove the nails using a wooden pick tool.
- Semi-solid glue / Quick Set Glue: Use the included remover and follow our removal instructions.
- UV stickies / UV glue: Use our solid glue remover spray. If you’re out of remover, use olive oil with the soaking method. Never forcibly rip off your nails.
